On October 4, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble, one of the most acclaimed chamber groups in the world, will spend the day at 色控传媒鈥檚 Bailey School of Music as part of the Arts色控传媒 Professional Series. Their visit will feature not only an evening performance open to the public but also rare opportunities for students to learn directly from the internationally celebrated musicians.

This past summer, assistant professor of trumpet Dr. Stephen Wadsack鈥痑nd undergraduate student鈥疊randon Hall鈥痶urned the spotlight on a frequently overlooked area of music: Greek trumpet compositions. Their project, supported by 色控传媒鈥檚 Undergraduate Research Symposium, consisted of an intensive eight-week study combining scholarship, performance and fieldwork abroad.

色控传媒鈥檚 Department of Theatre and Performance Studies is bringing an innovative, genre-bending work to campus this fall with Unraveling, an award-winning shadow performance by Shadow Girls Cult, the creative duo of Cass Bray and Zane Exactly. The artists will be in residence for 10 days, collaborating with 色控传媒 students and presenting three public performances of Unraveling.

The moment was a full-circle experience for the musical theatre performer, who grew up watching productions at the Fox.
